  21. HAMSTER IN CREAM SAUCE FLAMBE                 TO CONTACT
  22.                                         YOUR FAVORITE DAYGLO...
  23. Ingredients:                                SEND STUFF TO:

  25. 4 large hamsters (live)                     Hamster Hotel
  26. 3 tablespoons unsalted butter               PO Box 670, Station A
  27. 1/4 cup finely chopped onion                Toronto, Canada
  28. 1 cup sliced mushrooms                      M5W 1G2
  29. 1/4 gran marnier (heated)
  30. 1/4 cup heavy or whipping cream
  31. Salt, freshly ground black pepper, nutmeg
  32.  
  33. Asphyxiate and fillet hamsters, place 2 tablespoons butter in preheated frypan,
  34. add onions and saute for 10 minutes.
  35. Add mushrooms and continue cooking for 10-15 minutes or until onions are
  36. softened and yellow, remove onion and mushroom mixture from pan and reserve.
  37. Melt remaining butter in pan, add hamster fillets and saute quickly over medium
  38. heat 4-5 minutes per side, add brandy, turn heat to high and ignite.
  39. Continue cooking  until brandy is down to half its original volume, reduce heat
  40. to low, add cream and onion mixture and heat thoroughly, season with salt,
  41. pepper and nutmeg to taste.
  42. Place fillets, 2 per serving, on pre-heated plates, pour sauce over top,
  43. garnish as desired.
